It’s an exciting year for Soho Works, with new sites coming up in London, New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong
“Soho Works is built in the image of Soho House: design-led with a curated community, but purposed for work,” says Julia Davis, managing director. “It’s an additional offering for members to work, meet and host events.”
This is set to be a big year for Soho Works, as Julia and her team look to build on the success of the original site, adjacent to Shoreditch House in the Tea Building. Looking ahead, the plan is to create a global network of spaces, starting with new sites in London, New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong.
“All Soho Works locations will be close to a Soho House and offered as an add-on for members,” explains Julia, who joined in June last year from WeWork and has been working on site selection, member offering, digital tech and building her team.
One of the first sites to open is 180 The Strand, which will also house the new Soho House support office. The large, brutalist building (above) has become a creative hub for art, culture, style and fashion, with neighbours including Dazed Media Group, IMG and Charlotte Tilbury. The light-filled Soho Works development will be a beautiful workspace with extensive training areas, high- tech meeting spaces and a café serving members, building tenants and our team.
“Soho House has been a home away from home for creatives for 23 years; now we are so excited to offer our members the space to work and create,” says Julia.
