It’s two openings in one at the site of the former Club Row rooms in East London, just a short walk from Shoreditch House
Redchurch Townhouse and Cecconi’s Shoreditch are now open in east London, a few minutes’ walk away from Shoreditch House.
The latest addition to the Townhouse family, Redchurch has been developed from the former Club Row bedrooms. The reception on Whitby Street leads to 37 individually decorated, retro-influenced bedrooms ranging in size from Tiny to Large.
Although it is on the ground floor of Redchurch Townhouse and will serve breakfast to overnight guests, Cecconi’s Shoreditch has its own street entrance and will operate independently. Serving favourites such as lobster spaghetti along with cicchetti, and pizza from the wood-fired oven, the restaurant has a more relaxed feel than the Mayfair original, with a simple colour palette and timber finishes accompanying the familiar striped marble floor.
“In both Redchurch Townhouse and Cecconi’s there are little touches that we’ve tailored towards the Shoreditch crowd,” says Daniel Thompson, openings operations director. “For example the Cecconi’s uniform is a lot more pared back: jeans, sneakers and white shirts rather than the traditional blazers.”
General manager Giulia D’Ippolito is overseeing both, with experience from managing other restaurants in our family, such as Malibu Kitchen in The Ned, as well as Cecconi’s Berlin.
