Never mind Russia… who won the House Cup?

Football may not be coming home to England, but there’s been plenty of football action for our Soho House teams around the world this summer. Check out the video highlights

As the world’s best footballers travelled to Russia for the World Cup 2018, we kicked off our very own football tournament in London.

The event took place on the Powerleague pitch in Shoreditch, with 24 competing from our Soho House & Co sites in London, as well as Babington, Farmhouse and the Dean Street support office.

The team from Pizza East Shoreditch raised the trophy for the second time, beating Soho House 40 Greek Street 3-2 in a closely-fought final. The team from Farmshop Bicester Village took home the Plate Cup.

“Teambuilding is so important, and House Cup is a great event to be involved in,” says organiser Ashley Reffold. “One of the managers told me that the team they sent to the tournament returned as brothers. Teambuilding is so important, and it’s great to have an event where all the focus is on our teams.”

Soccer is not just a British obsession: Soho House Chicago runs its own soccer league, while Soho House Berlin recently competed in the Hotel Soccer cup.  Farmhouse also  hosted a special Country tournament.

House Cup will be back next year.
