The first Chicken Shop opened in London in 2012
The restaurant in Kentish Town, north London, was inspired by the look of US general stores from the 1950s.
There are now 12 Chicken Shop locations around the world
They include sites in Barcelona and Chicago. The next opening will be in the Borough of Ealing, west London, early in 2017.
Yes, they do weddings
Chicken Shop catered its first one in Harlesden this summer.
Chicken shop Kentish Town will launch 9 new menu items this winter
This assortment of delicious new dishes will include American-style chicken and waffles, a warming chicken soup, a saucy pulled chicken sandwich, a fried chicken omelette, chicken nuggets, chicken wings and a fried buttermilk chicken sandwich.
Every chicken is marinated for 24 hours before cooking
It then spends only 25 to 30 minutes on the rotisserie grill, keeping it perfectly moist.
All of London’s chickens come from within 100 miles of the city
The poultry is Red Tractor assured, meaning it’s guaranteed fresh, healthy and tasty.
186 staff are employed in Chicken Shops worldwide
Including 81 floor staff, 64 kitchens and 35 managers.
Around 570,000 whole birds are sold to Chicken Shop diners every day
If you laid them end-to-end, they’d stretch 114km. That’s roughly the distance between 76 Dean Street and Soho Farmhouse.
