Event production manager Tricia Thomas on how the Cities Without Houses team are embracing their lack of indoor space
This summer in North America, Cities Without Houses has been focusing on outdoors events. We hosted a farm to table lunch for Seattle members on Vashon Island with local chef Matthew Dillon, focusing on all fresh, organic items from their farm, Old Chaser Farm.
Heading further south, members enjoyed a Fashion For Breakfast morning under the trees at Huset restaurant in Mexico City with Sandra Weil and Karla Martinez de Salas from Vogue Latin America. In Austin, members came together for a full day outdoors filled with wellness and happiness including yoga, vegan lunch, panel and healthy happy hour.
Next up, we’ll take Portland members on a winery field trip to Domaine Serene in the Oregon countryside. In mid July, Atlanta members will venture out to Mayflor Farm for an afternoon of garden to table holistic cooking experience with Sofia XIV and an afternoon hike for San Francisco members and their pups at Ft Funston. Detroit members will enjoy music all summer long with MOCAD’s concert series out on their Homestead Lawn, with a picnic in late July.
